The
Stowe Wine and Food Classic is a one-of-a-kind food and wine experience, taking you from farm to table and vine to glass. Not only will you rub elbows with top winemakers and chefs, you will also meet the farmers and suppliers these chefs count on daily for fresh ingredients. Enjoy well over 100 wines from around the world along with a grand array of offerings from area restaurants, cheese makers and brewers, all in a casual and vibrant atmosphere. The Stowe Wine & Food Classic is the annual signature event of Stowe Charities Inc. and is always held the fourth weekend in June (June 22-24 this year). It will be held once again at

Friday Evening Wine TastingThe public is invited to a spectacular wine tasting at the dramatic
West Branch Gallery & Sculpture Park, where we will compare and contrast several outstanding wines presented by
Fine Wine Cellars. Tickets are $75 per person.
Saturday Afternoon TastingsThis year we will be featuring two culinary adventures for those interested in learning more about Vermont’s gastronomic treasures from local food experts. Cheese aficionados can sample Vermont’s best cheeses paired with wines selected and introduced by
Matt Jennings, the Northeast’s well-known cheese expert.
The oyster and wine pairing hosted by
Rowan Jacobsen is back by popular demand. With the 2011 event selling out in less than two weeks, we decided to make this event available first to our Gala dinner attendees before opening it up to the public.
Saturday Evening Gala Dinner & Auction
The Gala Dinner, Dance, & Fine Wine Auction will once again be held under the stars at the world-renowned
Trapp Family Lodge. Guests will enjoy an exquisite five-course dinner prepared by Trapp Family Lodge Executive Chef
Kim Lambrechts along with wine pairings from the event’s featured wineries, the father/son duo of
Joel Peterson of
Ravenswood Winery and
Morgan Twain Peterson of
Bedrock Wine Company. Joel and Morgan will introduce and discuss the wines paired with each entrée. Tickets are $195 per person.
Sunday Afternoon Grand TastingThe Grand Tasting features more than 100 premium wines and world-class culinary selections from Vermont’s top chefs. The event tent includes cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, such as
Dino Giordano from the
Lord Jeffrey Inn in Amherst, Massachusetts; and tasting sessions with our featured wineries.
The Vermont Pavilion showcases the finest Vermont-grown culinary treats and “farm-to-table” chefs and restaurants. Wander the tent, taste wines, enjoy gastronomic delights, attend seminars and demos, and bid on our many silent auction items. Tickets are $60 per person. The Saturday/Sunday combined ticket price is $230 per person.

Through a network of 280 food shelves, meals sites, senior centers, shelters, and after-school programs, the Vermont Foodbank runs programs that help feed as many as 86,000 Vermonters who need food assistance. Additional programs are specifically oriented toward feeding children in need, providing nutritional education, and job training in the food service industry for the unemployed and underemployed. The Foodbank is committed to increasing the amount of locally sourced produce in its distribution system.
